Cookie Policy — Corevia Software
Effective Date: 13 July 2026
Last Updated: 13 July 2026
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit. They let the website remember your actions and preferences — such as keeping you logged in — either for the duration of your visit ("session cookies") or across visits ("persistent cookies"). Cookies set by the website you are visiting are "first-party cookies"; cookies set by other services embedded in the site are "third-party cookies".
2. How We Use Cookies Today
coreviasoftware.com currently uses first-party essential cookies only. We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or social-media cookies, and we do not currently set any third-party cookies. Sections 5–6 below describe tools we may adopt in the future; they are included for transparency and are not active.
3. Essential Cookies
Essential cookies are strictly necessary for the Website to function. They cannot be switched off through a consent banner because the Website cannot operate without them. We use:
| Cookie type | Example name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session / authentication cookie | corevia.sid |
Identifies your logged-in session so you stay signed in as you navigate your account, orders, and downloads. Set as HTTP-only and Secure. | Session (deleted when the session ends or you log out) |
| Security (CSRF) token | CSRF token cookie/field | Protects forms and account actions against cross-site request forgery attacks. | Session |
| Load/stability cookies | (if set by hosting infrastructure) | Route and stabilize requests to keep the Website available. | Session or short-lived |
Essential cookies do not track you across other websites and are not used for advertising.
4. Preference Cookies
If the Website offers remembered preferences in the future (for example, language selection between English and Arabic, or display settings), a small preference cookie may store your choice. Where a preference cookie is not strictly necessary, it will be treated as non-essential and covered by consent under Section 9. No preference cookies beyond essential operation are set today.
5. Analytics Cookies (Not Currently Active)
We may in the future use privacy-conscious analytics services to understand how visitors use the Website — for example Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity. These services would use cookies or similar identifiers to measure page visits, navigation paths, and approximate (city-level) location, and would involve processing by the provider, potentially outside Qatar.
These tools are not currently enabled. Before enabling any analytics tool, we will:
(a) update this Policy to name the tool, its cookies, purposes, and retention periods;
(b) present a consent mechanism for non-essential cookies where required (see Section 9);
(c) configure the tool to minimize personal data (e.g., IP truncation/masking where available);
(d) update the Privacy Policy's processor list.
6. Marketing Cookies (Not Currently Active)
We do not currently use marketing, advertising, retargeting, or social-media cookies. If we adopt marketing platforms in the future, such cookies would only be set after you give consent through the consent mechanism described in Section 9, and this Policy would first be updated to identify each platform, its cookies, and their purposes and durations.
7. Third-Party Cookies
We do not currently set third-party cookies on the Website. Note that when you leave the Website — for example, when you are redirected to a payment gateway's hosted payment page to complete a purchase — that provider's own site may set cookies under its own cookie and privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies. The payment page is operated by the gateway, not by Corevia.
8. Cookie Retention
| Category | Retention |
|---|---|
| Session/authentication cookies | Deleted at end of session or on logout; server-side session records expire per our session policy |
| Security (CSRF) cookies | Session |
| Preference cookies (future) | Up to 12 months, unless stated otherwise when introduced |
| Analytics cookies (future) | Will be stated per tool before activation (typically 1–24 months) |
| Marketing cookies (future) | Will be stated per platform before activation |
9. Cookie Consent
Because the Website currently uses only essential cookies, no consent banner is currently required for its operation; essential cookies are exempt from consent under prevailing international practice, and this Policy provides the required transparency.
Before we activate any non-essential cookies (analytics or marketing), we will implement a consent mechanism that:
(a) informs you of each category and purpose before any non-essential cookie is set;
(b) lets you accept or refuse non-essential categories separately;
(c) records your choice and lets you change it at any time via a "Cookie Settings" link on the Website;
(d) does not degrade essential functionality if you refuse.
10. Browser Controls
Most browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies through their settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari (macOS/iOS): Preferences/Settings → Privacy
Blocking essential cookies will prevent core functions of the Website from working — you will not be able to stay logged in, complete purchases, or access downloads. Deleting cookies logs you out of active sessions.
11. Changes to This Policy
We will update this Policy before any change in our actual cookie usage — in particular before enabling any analytics or marketing tool — and revise the "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted on the Website.
